Jalisse and Loredana Bertè among the Big acts in San Marino

In an anticipated press conference in Milan this morning, the producers of RTV San Marino and the Sammarinese Minister of Culture and Tourism were present for a big announcement.

While eight acts will make the Grand Final of Una voce per San Marino 2024 from the Semi Finals, another eight established (or ‘big’) artists have been invited for a guaranteed spot in the final.

The Big Artists are:

  • Aaron Sibley (finished 3rd place in UVPSM 2022 with Pressure)
  • Aimie Atkinson (a British stage actress and singer)
  • Dana Gillespie (a British actress and singer chosen from San Marino Sessions to sing an AI generated song)
  • Jalisse (represented Italy at Eurovision 1997 with Fiumi di parole)
  • La Rua (finished in 2nd in Sanremo Giovani 2018)
  • Loredana Bertè (multiple Sanremo participations, most recently in 2024 with Pazza)
  • Marcella Bella (multiple Sanremo participations, most recently in 2005 with Uomo bastardo)
  • Pago (Italian singer and TV personality)
  • Wlady, Corona, IceMc, DJ Jad

Fans hoping to see Mahmood or Annalisa participate will be disappointed, as neither artist expressed any desire to participate.

The hosts of the Final will be Fabrizio Biggio (of Viva Rai 2) together with Melissa Greta Marchetto (from Virgin Radio Italia). Riccardo Cocciante, Al Bano and Mogol will also be present as special guests, which means that Senhit will not be involved for the first time!

The Semi Finals were filmed over two days last week, and will be broadcast, starting tonight:

  • Semi Final 1 — Monday, 19th February at 21:40 CET
  • Semi Final 2 — Tuesday, 20th February at 21:40 CET
  • Semi Final 3 — Wednesday, 21st February at 21:40 CET
  • Semi Final 4 — Thursday, 22nd February at 21:40 CET
  • Semi Final 5 — Friday, 23rd February at 21:40 CET

The eight victorious newcomers will compete against the eight pre-qualified ‘big’ artists in the Grand Final.

  • Grand Final — Saturday, 24th February (21:00 CET)

Last May, the Piqued Jacks extended San Marino’s non-qualification streak to two years in-a-row when they failed to get any points in Semi Final 2 in Liverpool with their song “Like An Animal”.
