Oscar Zia to host Melodifestivalen 2022!

It’s just few days since the new Eurovision season began, and the news, regarding 2022 shows are already underway. After hosting one of the semi-finals of Melodifestivalen, Oscar Zia is back again, as he was revealed just this morning to return as a presenter for the show in 2022.

 

Another six shows are about to return next year, starting with Semi-Final 1, which will take place on February 5th next year. A lot of Swedish artists expressed their excitement with the choice of SVT, just as Sanna Nielsen, Lina Hedlund, Paul Rey, Sigrid Bernson and many others.

SVT also announced that they’re still in the search for song submissions, until September 17th. If you thing you have the right song for Melodifestivalen, you can apply here.

Melodifestivalen 2022 is also on the road again:

  • Feb 5th Malmö Arena
  • Feb 12th Göteborg – Scandinavium
  • Feb 19th Linköping – Saab Arena
  • Feb 26th Lidköping – Sparbanken Arena
  • Mar 5th Örnsköldsvik – Hägglunds Arena
  • Marc 12th Stockholm – Friends Arena

Last year Tusse won the Melodifestivalen, with his song Voices, and got his ticket to Eurovision stage in Rotterdam, where he achieved 14th place in the Grand Final, breaking Sweden’s streak of top 10 entries since 2013.
