Subwoolfer: "Strange that earthlings keep asking us to take off our masks though…what masks?"

Subwoolfer  is a duo of two brothers Keith and Jim, who describe themselves as follows:“On June 20, 1969, the prophet Neil fell from heaven. They called him “the man with the strongest arms.” He promised to help Keith and Jim become superstars on earth. He would come and get them when they had written the best song in the whole universe. Unfortunately, Neil never returned, but Subwoolfer got hold of DJ Astronaut and has now reached Earth.

Hello Subwoolfer (Keith and Jim), given the fact that you come from another planet can you tell us something more about yourself and life there? How is it to visit Earth?
– Life on the moon is pretty sweet. Being the biggest stars in the galaxy, we share the largest crater there, living in a castle made purely of cd’s. Visiting earth is interesting – A little too much oxygen for our liking but otherwise pleasant.

@subwoolfer we were having a good time until several blue individuals arrived and started to shout at us #eurovision #nrkmgp #moon #escalator #oslove #esc ♬ Give That Wolf A Banana – Subwoolfer

What made you decide to take part at Melodi Grand Prix out of all Eurovision selections?
– We are following the prophecy set back in 1969 from our earthling visitor Neil, or ‘the man with the strongest arms’ as you may know him.

Can you tell us a bit about the inspiration behind “Give That Wolf A Banana” and what does the song mean for you?
– Neil told us about the terrible Grandemic that was happening on earth right now, and that many Grandmas were too afraid to leave their homes in fear of being eaten by the wolves. So we came up with a solution…….why not give them all bananas to subdue their hunger. Problem solved.

Many Earthlings compare you to a Norwegian singer Ylvis and think you found the inspiration for your entry after listening to his song”What does the fox say”, have you heard it and how does that comparison make you feel?
-We have been compared to many famous stars throughout the galaxy in our 4.5 billion years of life. We are flattered, but there is only 1 Subwoolfer, and only 1 Keith and 1 Jim. We did check out the fox song on youtube and found it very amusing though.

How do the assumptions of your real identity make you feel?
– We are used to it. Strange that earthlings keep asking us to take off our masks though…what masks?

Have you followed Eurovision Song Contest before, if so would you like to share a memory
which you have of it or a favourite song from the show?
– In preparation we did watch a few to see what we were in for. Our favourite is probably the man who plays the magical neck guitar – Alexander Rybak.

Tell us a secret or something you didn’t tell to anyone before?

– We visited earth once before – 5000 years ago where we played a few rounds of Jenga before we had to leave in a rush. We believe you now call the left over pieces ‘Stone Henge’ or something.

Who would you like to make a duet with?

– Elvis – again. He joined us on our Saturn concert. What a hound dog he was.
