Pia Maria deals with a love encounter in her new song White Noise
We remember Pia Maria very well from this years Eurovision Song Contest, when she performed alongside LUM!X, a banger entry ‘Halo’. In her new song ‘White Noise‘ she deals with a love encounter in which there is a lot of shadow and hardly any light – and from which she still finds it difficult to break away.
“Should have seen the hell in your hello, now I’m searching for the good in goodbye” – it’s already clear from the first few lines that this song is anything but a rose-colored love ballad. A throbbing beat with nervously plucked strings and a piercingly deep piano create a mood that fits the words of Pia Maria. However, she is by no means the victim in this toxic relationship, but she makes it clear in the lines: “All you’ve ever been is just a toy / Searching for another anything to fill the void”.

During the chorus, the threatening-sounding beat of the verse turns into a rushing synth wall of sound, in which Pia Maria lets her voice soar. No matter how white the noise in the (non) communication may be – Pia Maria’s emotions are definitely not colorless, but full of life instead. It’s definitely a song, full of dynamics and power, with which the Austrian singer leaves the next strong calling card after her first solo single “I Know U Know”. Her sound in the newest single is mysterious, slightly gloomy pop with a lot of emotions. Otherwise active as a trained SFX make-up artist at the Tyrolean State Theater, the young Tyrolean has been writing her own songs since she was 15.
