Out of the 982 submitted songs for the 2016 edition of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, the Danish broadcaster selected the best 10 songs to take part in this national selection and compete  for the ticket to Stockholm.

The names of the 10 participants will be announced on the 28th of January, when all the participating songs will also be put online on the Danish broadcaster’s website. A CD of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix will be released once again (both in digital and physical form), and it will be out one day after the announcement of the acts. Last year, the official CD got released before the acts were announced – by accident.

Dansk Melodi Grand Prix will take place on the 13th of February in Horsens. After a series of qualifications, and a victory in 2013, Denmark failed to qualify for the Grand Final last year in Vienna, when Anti Social Media represented their country with the song “The Way You Are”.
