Georgian broadcaster GPB announced an open call for songs a few months ago, following the announcement of Nika Kocharov & Young Georgian Lolitaz as the Georgian representatives in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016. Now they have announced that out of the more than hundred songs they have received, five songs have been selected.

Video clips for all 5 songs will be produced on January 31 because on the 3rd of February, the songs will premier on the show Communicator on GPB’s Channel 1. From the 4th of February to the 15th of February the Georgian public will be able to vote for their favourite song. These votes will count for 50% of the outcome, the other 50% will come from an international expert jury and together these will decide which song Nika Kocharov & Young Georgian Lolitaz will be representing Georgia with.

That same day, the 15th of February, the winning song will be announced on Communicator.
