Cleo to represent Poland in Stockholm?

Another Polish Eurovision drama, this time made by Donatan who was the producer of “My Slowianie – We Are Slavic” from Copenhagen 2014. On his Facebook profile Donatan said it “makes no sense to keep it as a secret any longer that Cleo will return to Eurovision in 2016 and represent Poland again”. He also mentioned her collaboration with Basto – music producer from Belgium who prepared the remix of Cleo’s new single “Zabiorę nas”.

Polish Television didn’t react to this news yet and it’s still not confirmed whether this is true. Many fans believe it’s another one of Donatan’s jokes and tricks to get more attention, and help Cleo to promote her new single. In comments Donatan also jokes about the migration crisis, European tolerance and homosexual lobby, saying he will write a song about refugees and would like to show Europe some “healthy stuff, otherwise Europe will die”. It’s not the first time Donatan criticizes Europe about its tolerancy, especially when his Slavic Girls failed to win Eurovision and Conchita Wurst gained the Grand Prix and moved the contest to Vienna.

Several Polish media informed about Donatan’s Facebook post suggesting it could be the truth, a joke, or a smart marketing move. So far Cleo did not confirm or deny this news – for all Eurovision-related questions she answered with smile emoticon only.

According to the previous TVP’s statement, the next Polish entry will be selected internally and revealed in February. It is highly rumored that Zuzanna Lapicka-Olbrychska will be the new Head of Delegation and replace Mikolaj Dobrowolski, who has been fired a couple of days ago due to changes in entertainment sector of Polish broadcaster.
