Lidia Ganeva: ” I can’t wait to meet with all the other participants.”
Back in June, Lidia Ganeva won the Bulgarian national final for Junior Eurovision Song Contest. A few weeks ago, her entry ”Magical Day (Вълшебен ден)” was released. She took the time to talk to ESCBubble about her participation in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest and her new song:
What was your first reaction when you were told that you would represent your country at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016?
When they said my name I was surprised and excited.
How did your friends and family react when they found out that you would represent Bulgaria in Valletta?
There were a lot of surprises. My friends made a video and uploaded in on Facebook of them congratulating me. It also included greetings from famous Bulgarian stars. They also made posters with photos of me during the selection. After I won they welcomed me with flowers and presents made by them. Most of them are from my music school “Art voice center”. I love them.
What does it mean to you to get the chance to represent your country at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest?
I fulfilled one of my dreams. Now my purpose is to do my best at Junior Eurovision for my country Bulgaria. I can’t wait to meet with all the participants, they all look me very cool.
Are you a Junior Eurovision fan? What are your favorite entries from the past years?
I’m big fan of JESC and ESC. I start watching Junior Eurovision in 2014 and I was so impressed by “Planet of the children” by Krisia, Hasan and Ibrahim. I love Krisia. I also like our next entry “Colour of Hope:”. I really like Betty and Mika from Armenia….One of my favorite songs are “My girls” by Bella Paige, “Prva Ljubezen” by Lina from Slovenia and I like Lena’s song for Serbia. I love Poli Genova, I am sure that you love her, too.
How would you describe your song ‘’Magical Day’’ in a few words?
