Mariam from Georgia wins Junior Eurovision 2016!

In Valletta, Malta this evening, Georgia have just won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest for the 3rd time.
They did so with Mariam Mamadashvili and her song Mzeo, which means ”sun” in Georgian.
It has been Mariam’s wish to participate since she started watching the show in 2010. Right now she is a student at the Broadway Method Academy in Connecticut in the United States.

After her win Mariam said she feels great and likes to thank everyone. She was also proud of what she could achieve for Georgia tonight and that her grandmother would be among the first people she’d call now.
On being away from school she mentioned she misses her friends but also said:  “I miss you all but please, no homework!”
