Poland most likely to take part in all Eurovision events in 2018

According to the data provided by TVP to National Council of Radio and Television, Poland will take part in all EBU events scheduled for 2017 and 2018. After Eurovision Song Contest 2017 TVP1 is looking for participation in Junior Eurovision 2017 in Tbilisi as well as Eurovision 2018 in Lisbon, Junior Eurovision 2018, Eurovision Young Dancers 2017 and Eurovision Young Musicians 2018. Polish broadcaster plans to organize the National Final for Eurovision 2018 initially scheduled for February next year and for Junior Eurovision 2018 initially scheduled for October next year. TVP did not confirmed Polish participation in Junior Eurovision 2017 in Tbilisi yet but it is most likely Polish entrant will take part in this competition as well after rather successful comeback last year with very high TV-rating.

According to TVP Kultura, Eurovision Young Dancers 2017 will be hosted by Czech Republic again after Malta has given up the rights to host the competition. It is not confirmed by Czech broadcaster yet. National Final “Young Dancer of the Year 2017” is scheduled for 28th May in Warsaw. Winner will be selected by four jury members. Eight young and talented dancers are taking part in the competition. Poland won the Eurovision Young Dancers 2015 with Victoria Nowak.

Polish entrant for Eurovision Song Contest 2017 – Kasia Moś – finished 22nd in the Grand Final but her main goal – qualification to the final – has been achieved. “From the other side I’m quite sad as I’m sure I did my job in 100% and I performed in the best way I can. It’s obvious, I expected a little bit higher result” – she said. Unfortunately the TV-rate for 1st semifinal and the final are much lower than in last year when more popular Michal Szpak represented this country.
