Norway’s Melodi Grand Prix to be held on 2nd March!

Today both the date and venue for the Norwegian selection process, known as the Melodi Grand Prix, have been announced.  The Norwegian broadcaster, NRK, is reporting that the event will be held on Saturday 2nd March at the Oslo Spektrum.

The artists and songs will be announced on 25th January.

Fans of both Melodi Grand Prix and Melodifestivalen will be even more pleased to note that the two events will not be clashing this year, the Norwegian final will take place on the date of Sweden’s Andra Chansen (second chance) round.

The head of the MGP Stig Karlsen has stated that this was not intentional but was due to the availability of the venue and the resources needed.
