Romania will select their song for Eurovision 2020 on 1 March!

Finally, after a long time of silence from TVR we have news about the selection process. And this time with some changes in the selection. TVR statement says, firstly they are focused more on the most representative voice, and after selecting the representative they will concentrate on the songs.

We know now that the artist is going to be selected internally, and on the 1st of March the public and a national jury will select the best song for Romania, out of five songs in total! Another change since last year drama, TVR brought back the national jury and will give the public again 50% of decision. In case of a tie, the public will have the last word, as the televotes are being the decisive ones.

Another change in the team, Liana Stanciu is back as Head of Delegation and Dan Manoliu is going to be the Artistic Director.

Last year Romania failed to qualify in the final, they finished 13th in the semifinal with Ester Peony and her song “On a Sunday”.
