Listen to the songs competing in The Free European Song Contest!

As we informed you Stefan Raab and ProSieben are preparing a special show “Free European Song Contest” which will be hosted by Conchita Wurst and Steven Gätjen set to take place tonight with the beginning at 20:15 CEST from Cologne.

“Free European Song Contest” is based on the Eurovision concept with different countries represented, new artists, new songs and a winner which will be determined by national juries and the public from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It is confirmed that 15 countries are taking place and the artists are announced and most of the acts have already been released prior to the show on Saturday.

The artists list include some of the names familiar to Eurovision audience as Ilse DeLange represented The Netherlands in 2014, and Kate Hall took part in Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2013. Even though the name of the German participant hasn’t been revealed it is a high possibility that Max Mutzke who was German representative in 2004 will be waving the German flag as it was announced that two past participants of Eurovision will perform and Ilse DeLange is the only one confirmed and the only act to be revealed is Germany. There will be another 12 stars to perform their new songs and compete for the title of the winner of the “Free European Song Contest” below is the list of the acts (click the song name to listen to it)

The list of the spokespersons confirmed so far includes Lukas Podolski for Poland, Angelo Kelly for Ireland, Beatrice Egli for Switzerland and Sporty Spice, Melanie C for UK.

Another common thing with Eurovision will be the voting, as each of the participating countries will award points in Eurovision style with the difference that only the viewers from Germany, Austria and Switzerland can vote for their favourite songs while the points from the other countries will be decided solely by national juries.

“Free European Song Contest” will be aired on ProSieben, ProSieben Austria and ProSieben Schweiz with availability to watch on Joyn tonight from 20:15 CEST.
