Kreilis returns with new song ‘Starp Mums’

Edgars Kreilis, four time entrant to Latvia’s Supernova, is back with a new song for the summer. Now recording simply as Kreilis, ‘Starp Mums’ (Between Us) is out today (31st August) and is his first release since ‘Tridymite’ reached the final of this year’s Latvian Eurovision preselection. In the meantime he has been busy with other projects including reaching the finals of The Voice: Lithuania, in which he was mentored by two time Eurovision entrant Donny Montell.

Kreilis is thrilled to be back releasing new material as he told us this morning, with a promise of even more to come soon!

Starp Mums, written by Kreilis himself, tells the story of a couple reminiscing about their relationship from the very beginning when it was a secret (with the title translating as ‘Between Us’), to the time that it came out in the open, and everything since. The couple will never forget the way their relationship started, meeting at a party, sharing a few drinks and that unfinished kiss.

Kreilis told us that there is also more material on the way, with a further song due for release this autumn which was recorded using new equipment, that has been used by renowned artists including the likes of Ed Sheeran on his last album, and he is rightly excited by how that project is taking shape.

Take a listen to ‘Starp Mums’ here, and let us know in the comments what you think. Would you like to see Kreilis return to Supernova (and Eurovision) in the future?
