The Norwegian national broadcaster NRK has confirmed that apart from Stavangerkameratene, another act is going to change the language of their song for the Final, as TIX will compete with the English version of his entry “Ut av mørket”.
TIX is one of the top favorites to win this year’s edition of Melodi Grand Prix, as since his entry was released, it reached number 3 in the Norwegian charts, and it was streamed almost 2.5 million times on Spotify. TIX stated the following:
Although I hope people consider it a worthy contribution to Eurovision, it is actually the case that this year the most important thing is just to participate and create a good atmosphere for everyone at home. I have to make sure of that!
It feels very great to know that the people have so much confidence in me and cheer for me, despite the fact that my song so far has only been performed in Norwegian. Thank you very much!

The Grand Final of Melodi Grand Prix 2021 will take place on Saturday, 20th of February, but prior to that, 15 acts are going to compete on Tuesday in the “Second Chance” round for one more place that leads to the Final.
