The 11th season of The Voice Germany is getting near to its final phase and German representative at Eurovision Song Contest 2015, Ann Sophie advanced to the next stage of it as one of the three candidates of her coach and mentor Johannes Oerding she will perform in the Live Shows which are scheduled to take place on 5th, 12th and 19th of December on Sat.1.
The 11th season of the show features Mark Forster, Nico Santos, Sarah Connor and Johannes Oerding as the coaches, while Elif is the comeback stage coach. Ann Sophie performed “Summertime” at her blind auditions and after all four coaches turned, she chose Sarah Connor as her mentor. Next stage involved the battle rounds in which three participants competed against each other and in the preparations for the TV battle at the judges house one would be eliminated and two would advance to the TV battle. Sarah had a tough time deciding which of the three singers which she placed in the battle would chose to advance and she asked the production to break the rules so Ann Sophie Dürmeyer alongside her opponents Jennifer Williams-Braun and Archippe Mbongue Ombang had a chance to perform “Stand Up” by Cynthia Erivo in the Battle rounds. After their performance the judges and the audience were blown away and Mark Forster said that was the best battles the audience of The Voice Germany could see since he joined the show in it’s seventh season. Sarah decided to go further with Archippe but both Jennifer and Ann Sophie were stolen by Nico Santos and Johannes Oerding. Ann Sophie continued the show as a member of Team Johannes.
The first episode of The Sing-Offs was just aired and it featured contestants of Nico Santos and Johannes Oerding. Ann Sophie performed “Creep” by Radiohead. After all 7 artists in each team performed it was time to announce the three artists which are advancing further. The two artists are decided by the audience votes while the third one is decided by the coach himself. Based on the audience votes Ann Sophie qualified further to the Live Shows.
