Krista Siegfrids danced her way into the final of Finland’s ”Dancing with the Stars”

Finnish Eurovision star Krista Siegfrids has proceeded into the final of Finland’s Dancing with the Stars. The semifinal of the dancing competition’s 14th season was held tonight, and three couples got the ticket to the final.

Siegfrids’ journey in the contest has been a success from the very beginning. Siegfrids and her dance partner Anssi Heikkilä have received good points from the show’s professional jury during the competition, and six times the couple has gained the maximum 10 points from all three judges. During the 14 seasons of Finland’s Dancing with the Stars only one other contestant has managed to receive the maximum 30 points as many times as Siegfrids: a friend of Siegfrids and her UMK 2018 and 2019 co-host Christoffer Strandberg, who won the contest in 2019. The first time Siegfrids and Heikkilä received the maximum 30 points from the judges was already in the third live show, when the couple danced salsa:

Dancing with the Stars is a popular TV-show in many countries. In the show celebrities learn to dance different kind of dances with a dance partner who is a professional dancer. Their performances are judged by a professional jury, and also public vote for their favorites. The winner is decided by a combination of the votes from the professional jury and public televote.

The final of the 14th season of Finland’s Dancing with the Stars will take place next Sunday, November 28th 2021. The other finalists are actor and comedian Ernest Lawson and opera singer Waltteri Torikka.

A couple of weeks ago Siegfrids and Eurovision 2007 host Mikko Leppilampi released a cover version of the popular Christmas carol White Christmas. Leppilampi has also been one of the hosts of Finland’s Dancing with the Stars  for the last 10 seasons. You can listen Siegfrids’ and Leppilampi’s Christmas duet here:
