Kumpania Algazarra: The song is about enjoying the little things in life,

Hi guys. Congratulations on being chosen for Festival Da Canção! How did you first get into music?

As a band, we started making music  in the streets of Sintra in 2004.

And how did you first get into Festival Da Canção?

We participated in Festival Da Canção in 2019 , as an interval act, with tribute songs with Carlos Mendes’,  who won the event in 1972, and Manuela Bravo, who won in 1979.  This year they invited us to participate as composers  and we embraced the challenge.

What’s your song about?

The song is about enjoying the little things in life, remembering that we are connected to everything and that, above all, there’s always a reason to celebrate.

What inspires you in your music?

We get inspired mostly by the concepts of party and celebration of life.

How will your song be staged?

We are preparing a surprise dance show.

Are you guys a fan of Eurovision?

We all grew up with Eurovision. We didn’t get to see every edition but it’s a very good moment of union between countries.

What’s your favourite Eurovision song?

It’s hard to choose one , but I would risk the song “Heroes”, from Sweden in 2015.

We also loved the song “Shum” from 2021.

What would you like to say to your fans?

Keep the good vibes flowing, greetings from Portugal.

Thanks for talking to us Today guys and good luck at Festival Da Canção!
