Emma Muscat releases song with Blas Cantó!

While there are few updates on the Eurovision Song Contest over the summer, there are always new summer hits coming in from former Eurovision artists and every year we get some new, unexpected collaborations. A recent example is the collaboration of WRS, who represented Romania at the contest this year and Andromache, representing Cyprus the same year, with their song If You Were Alone/Στα μάτια σο.

The most recent Eurovision collaboration is between Emma Muscat and Blas Cantó. Emma Muscat won the Maltese national final this year with the song “Out Of Sight”. However she represented Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest with a different song, called “I Am What I Am”. The entry performed at the second semi-final, finished in 16th place out of 18 semi-finalists and therefore failed to advance to the Grand Final.

In 2020, Blas Cantó was selected to represent Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Universo” but due to the cancelation of the competition, he represented Spain in Rotterdam in 2021 with the song “Voy A Quedarme”. He made an impression with a huge moon on stage but sadly didn’t impress the viewers very much, ending up in 24th place with a total of 6 points, which all came from the juries.

While neither of them was successful in Eurovision, they continued making music and have now decided to work together on a fresh and catchy song called “La stessa lingua”, which is a perfect song to dance to on these hot summer days. You can listen to the song and watch the official music video here!
