Alessandra records Italian version of ‘Queen of Kings’

Norway’s ‘Queen of Melodi Grand Prix’ Alessandra has just released an Italian-language version of her Eurovision 2023 hit Queen of Kings. The song has amazingly already surpassed 50 million streams online!

Alessandra was born in the Liguria region of Italy to a Norwegian mother and Italian father, and speaks both languages (along with English) fluently.

She is excited to be able to celebrate both of her nationalities in the lead up to Liverpool, saying:

I can finally release Queen of Kings in Italian! It was a really fun challenge to translate the song, and I actually had to call my Italian friend for some help with the translation. I haven’t heard a lot of party songs in Italian before, so it’s really cool. I can’t wait for you to hear it!

To accompany the release of the Italian single on streaming platforms, Alessandra will release a brand new video of the Italian version. It will premiering on her YouTube channel on Friday 21st April at 18:00 CET.

Alessandra will open Semi Final 1 in Liverpool on 9th May. Last year, Norway’s Subwoolfer finished 10th in the Grand Final. Can she improve on Norway’s performance from Turin? Let us know in the comments below or on our socials @escbubble!
