Eleni Foureira and Helena Paparizou set the MAD VMA stage on fire!

Every year on one evening in June, the best artists of the Greek music scene gather under one roof to celebrate music (and hopefully get some awards). The MAD VMA is an award giving show in which artists from the Greek music industry not only get awards, but also perform on stage.

Past Eurovision competitors like Demy (Greece 2017) and Ivi Adamou (Cyprus 2012), Poli Genova (Bulgaria 2016) and others performed in this event in past editions. This year, a collaboration between the two best ranked Eurovision artists from Greece and Cyprus took place. Eleni Foureira and Helena Paparizou performed a medley of their songs both from Eurovision and out of it. The duo was welcomed by a huge crowd in the venue, which seeing their reaction, loved the performance very much. The two artists also shared a kiss at the end of the performance.

During this year’s MAD Awards, neither Helena nor Eleni went home empty handed. Helena Paparizou won the Award for the Best Overall Female Artist, whilst Eleni went home with three awards – Best Pop Female Artist, as well as Video Of The Year, and Song Of The Year for her song “El Telephone”.
