Ukraine to select their entry for Eurovision 2024 through a national final

Ukraine’s national broadcaster UA:PBC has just confirmed their participation in the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, and announced that they will once again host a national final in order to find their entry for the Contest.

The rules and regulations, as well as the submission process will be announced in the coming days, but UA:PBC have already confirmed that after this year’s success, Dmitro Shurov (Pianoboy) has once again been appointed as the Music Producer of the national final. He also promises an interesting “surprise” in next year’s national selection show:

In a few days we will start accepting applications for participation in the National Selection and the new season of Eurovision in Ukraine. I am appealing to everyone now: we have to create and choose the next song that will make our country proud, a song that will conquer the hearts of all of Europe and ignite a new star from Ukraine. This year, a surprise awaits you — you will be able to choose one of the finalists yourselves. A lot of interesting things lie ahead.

Oksana Skybinska, Ukraine’s Head of Delegation in Eurovision stated that in this upcoming national selection, Ukrainians will be invited to participate even more in the adoption of key selection decisions. She also added:

More information about the conditions and novelties of the National Selection will be announced already this week, when the submission period will open as well.

Tvorchi won the last edition of Vidbir, and they went on to represent Ukraine in Eurovision in Liverpool earlier this year. Their entry “Heart Of Steel” finished in 6th place in the Grand Final. Check out their performance once again right here:
