Fia will represent Germany in Junior Eurovision 2023!

The German national final has ended, and earlier today, the results were announced! A total of five finalists competed to win over the hearts of the fans who could vote via kika.de, as well as the international professional jury, and the combined vote gave us Germany’s entry for Junior Eurovision in Nice – “Ohne Worte” by Fia!

The voting at the German national selection lasted from the 8th until the 17th of September, and a total of five acts competed – Adriano, Fia, Lenny, Rahel and Toby. Fans could vote on kika.de, and their result represented 50% of the total vote. The other 50% came from an expert jury, consisting of the singers Kelvin Jones from Zimbabwe/UK, Tom Gregory from the UK and Christopher from Denmark, as well as music experts from the United Kingdom, Portugal, Poland, France and Germany. Fia impressed both the fans online and the jury, and emerged as the winner.

Fia competed in this year’s season of “The Voice Kids”, and she not only impressed with her singing, but also because she translates the song lyrics using sign language. She was inspired to do this by her little sister. In her free time, she enjoys climbing and swimming.

Fia became the third ever Junior Eurovision entrant from Germany, and she will be performing the song “Ohne Worte” in Nice on the 26th of November. The music video for the song is going to be premiered on the 13th of October. You can listen to a one minute long clip of the song right here:
