The fifth season of Masked Singer Finland has finished, and all of the three finalist characters were revealed to be former UMK or Eurovision contestants. The winner was the character Kolibri (Hummingbird), which turned out to be UMK22 fan favorite BESS. Kolibri made many amazing performances during the season, and the character’s identity was guessed quite quickly by the public and the show’s detective panel. One of Kolibri’s most impressive performances was a duet with the Swedish superstar and UMK21 runner-up Pandora, who also took part in Masked Singer Finland in the show’s first season in 2020:

BESS finished third in UMK22 with her mega hit song ”Ram pam pam”:

The runner-up character of Masked Singer Finland was Kiuas (Sauna Stove), who revealed to be the Finnish Eurovision 2008 representative Jarkko Ahola. The identity of Kiuas remained mystery for a while in the beginning of the season, but at some point the detectives of the show guessed that Ahola was behind the mask. Ahola was able to transform his voice during the season, and that was why his identity wasn’t guessed right away:

The 3rd place of Masked Singer Finland was achieved by the character Maajussi (Farmer), who revealed to be the Finnish Eurovision 2007 representative Hanna Pakarinen. The true identity of Maajussi remained mystery, at least for the detective panel of the show, until the final. Pakarinen transformed her voice masterfully during the season, and in the beginning of the season it wasn’t even clear which was the gender of Maajussi. In the semifinal of Masked Singer Finland Maajussi performed a duet with BESS:

Pakarinen carried the Finnish flag in the home court in Helsinki with her song ”Leave Me Alone”:

In the final the TOP 3 were asked to give one last clue about their identity and all three of them told they’ve represented Finland in Eurovision. Even though BESS didn’t win UMK, she represented Finland in Eurovision this year as a spokesperson, when she announced the votes of the Finnish jury.

Also another former UMK contestant was involved in the fifth season of Masked Singer Finland, since UMK23 finalist Benjamin Peltonen was one of the detectives of the show. Peltonen participated in UMK23 with his song ”Hoida mut”.
