We’re just a little more than 2 months away from the start of the 74th Festival di Sanremo, and another big piece of the show was revealed today on Rai’s social media accounts.
Artistic and music director Amadeus will host his final edition of Sanremo in 2024, and he’ll have a special guest co-host with him each evening of the Festival.
While Marco Mengoni was announced some time ago as Amadeus’ co-host on the opening evening on 6th February, today we got the names of the other four co-hosts that will join him:
- Giorgia (2nd evening — Wednesday, 7th February) is a signer who has participated at Sanremo in 1995 (1st place), 1996 (3rd place), 2001 (2nd place) and 2023 (6th place). She holds the unbeaten Sanremo record of a winning artist, having collected all the Festival’s prizes at once.
- Teresa Mannino (3rd evening — Thursday, 8th February) is a famous Italian actress and host.
- Lorella Cuccarini (4th evening — Friday, 9th February) hosted Sanremo once back in 1993 and entered as a singer in 1995, placing 10th. She is also known in Italy for her work as a dancer and television presenter.
- Rosario Fiorello (5th evening — Saturday, 10th February) has appeared at least once at Sanremo since 2020. Many casual viewers will recognize him. He is very well-known in Italy as comedian, singer, radio, and television presenter, particularly for his show Viva Rai2!
It shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that Amadeus’ friend, and popular Italian host Fiorello is back for Amadeus’ final Sanremo broadcast.
