Jurors to choose 24 acts for Dora 2024

Croatian broadcaster HRT released a statement earlier today to officially close the submission window for its national final, Dora 2024.

With around 200 submissions, HRT has tasked an expert jury to decide which 24 songs will make it to the live broadcast in February. Since Dora’s launch back in 2019, this year has seen the most submissions in its history, something HRT is particularly proud of, as interest in the contest continues to grow in the country.

Along with the 24 songs, the jury has been asked to pick 4 ‘back-up’ entries, in case one of the chosen 24 has to withdraw.

In February, the final of Dora 2024 will be broadcast on the HRTi platform and streamed on HRT’s website.

In Liverpool, Dora 2023 winners Let 3 represented Croatia, qualifying their country to the Grand Final for the 19th time, but the first since 2017! Their song Mama ŠČ! finished in 13th place with 123 points.
