The 62nd edition of the traditional Festivali i Kenges in Albania has ended moments ago. Once again the jury was selecting the winner of the Festival, but a separate televote only was selecting who is going to be representing Albania in Eurovision next May in Malmö. The hosts revealed that the person going to Malmö is none other than Besa Kokëdhima!

After all of the finalists have performed, first it was time for the jury results. First, they announced that the award for the Best New Act was for Peter Pan Quartet and that the Critics’ Choice Award went to Martina Serreqi.

After the two special awards, the hosts announced the top three in the festival, as selected by the professional jury. Third place went to Shpat Deda, second to Tiri Gjoci, and the winner of the 62th Festivali i Kenges is Mal Retkoceri!

In the end, the televote winner that will go on to represent Albania in Eurovision was announced, and that was Besa Kokëdhima with the song “Zemrën n’dorë”.
