Raiven will represent Slovenia in Eurovision 2024 with ‘Veronika’

Moments ago at a special press conference held in Slovenian Nationa Theatre Opera and Ballet in Ljubljana, RTVSlo confirmed that Raiven is going to be representing Slovenia in Eurovision 2024 in Malmö.

From all the submissions for next year’s Eurovision, after the votes of the international jury, Raiven emerged as the winner, and has thus been selected to represent her home country next May in Malmö. Raiven is a name known to all Eurovision fans, as she tried to represent Slovenia in Eurovision three times in the past, and always just missed out on the victory – in 2016 she was the runner-up with “Črno bel”, the following year she finished third with “Zažarim”, and she was once again a runner-up in 2019 with “Kaos”. After being selected for Eurovision, Raiven stated:

Representing Slovenia at Eurovision is a stepping stone I envision for my career’s progression. When I told my mother I was going to Eurovision, she said she knew I would be standing on that stage one day. She knew it since the first time we were watching this music spectacle together – I was five years old.

The song she will be performing in Malmö is titled “Veronika”, and it will be included in the newest EP “Sirene”. The song will be premiered on the 20th of January in a special TV show on RTVSlo.

Whilst we are waiting for her Eurovision entry to be revealed, give a listen to her latest single “Ikona” which is a duet together with Helena Blagne, as well as her latest entry in EMA – “Kaos”.
