RTVE releases all 16 songs for Benidorm Fest 2024 – listen HERE!

In a press conference held today by Spanish broadcaster Radio y Televisión Española (RTVE) , the 16 songs for this year’s Benidorm Fest were released one-by-one. The conference was hosted by María Eizaguirre, Head of Communications at the broadcaster, Spanish HoD Ana María Bordas and Benidorm Fest co-director César Vallejo. The artists were revealed at a similar conference at Teatro Alameda in Seville, the home of the Latin Grammys, on 12th November.

These are the 16 songs that will compete at Benidorm Fest 2024:

All these songs were selected from a record longlist of 825 submissions, will be performed in Spanish, apart from El temps by Roger Padrós, which will be sung in Catalan, and Here to Stay by Sofía Coll, which is in a combination of Catalan, English and Spanish. The rules of the contest state that the official languages of Spain must make up at least 75% of the song’s lyrics. Angy Fernández, star of Spanish drama Física o Química, co-wrote her song, Sé quién soy, with the help of Thomas G:Son, the prolific Swedish songwriter who’s composed a myriad of Eurovision and Melodifestivalen entries, including Loreen’s 2023 Contest-winning Tattoo.

Benidorm Fest will begin on 30th January 2024, with two semi-finals of 8 artists each taking place on the Tuesday and Thursday of that week, before the grand final on Saturday 3rd February. The artists will be attempting to please a panel of jurors, RTVE’s demoscopic jury and the Spanish public, in the hope of following in the footsteps of Chanel and Blanca Paloma, lifting the coveted Bronze Microphone and flying the flag for Spain in Malmö next May.
