Each year, songfestival.be hosts ESC250, a worldwide vote for fans’ favourite Eurovision songs of all-time. In the festive spirit, 19 members of our team here at ESCBubble compiled our ESC250 votes to make a team vote!
The 19 team members had a combined 1,102 points to hand out and they were spread out over a total of 130 songs from 42 of Eurovision’s 52 countries! The team’s taste is so varied, that the winning song only received 48 points from just 5 people – that’s just 21% of the maximum possible vote!
Here are some quick stats on our ESC250 choices:
- Countries with most points: Sweden with 128 points (11.6% of the total), Italy with 78 points (7.1%), and Serbia with 76 points (6.9%)
- Highest average points per song (pps): Sweden (21.3 pps), Italy (15.6 pps), Czechia (14.5 pps), Moldova and Portugal (14.0 pps)
- Country with most songs: Spain with 9 songs (“Caracola”, “Eres tú”, “Bailemos un vals”, “Lady, Lady”, “Bandido”, “Vuelve conmigo”, “Dime”, “Tu canción”, “SloMo”), Norway, Serbia, and Sweden with 6 songs each
- The 10 countries that got nul points were: Andorra, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Lithuania, Morocco, Poland, Serbia & Montenegro, Slovakia, and Yugoslavia
