It is expected that the reveal of the artist which will be waving the flag of Austria at Eurovision 2024 will happen on 16th of January.

Austrian musician & producer, radio dj, journalist, music consultant and Eurovision scout for ORF Eberhard Forcher has confirmed that the news about the Austrian artist will be revealed on 16th of January as ESC Kompakt informs, after a comment has been left under one of their posts. Forcher has been one of the scouts helping with the internal selection process.

In their last 10 appearances at Eurovision 8 times has Austria went to select their act internally, that practice remains the same this year as Kronen Zeitung reported  that a twenty-five-member jury made up of music experts as well as six Eurovision fan clubs were invited to the live auditions which were held at ORF studios in order to determine their next entry. A total of 14 acts were presented and the decision they made will be revealed to the public on next Tuesday, 16th of January. The Austrian tradition in the last couple of years was to present both their artists and the entry on the public radio station’s morning show “Der Ö3-Wecker – Guten Morgen Österreich!” will the same happen this year remains to be seen in the upcoming weeks.

At Eurovision 2023, Austria was represented by a duo Teya & Salena, who were the 2nd placed act of the 2nd semi-final but in the final they ended the contest on 15th place scoring 120 points.
