MESC 2024 Final Set For February 3

The final of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2024 will take place on Saturday February 3rd.

PBS, Malta’s public broadcaster announced that from Monday 29th January, a show will take place every evening until the final show on Saturday.

During the first three episodes, we will watch footage from the rehearsals as well as interviews of the 12 finalists. During the fourth episode on Friday the 12 music videos of the songs will be aired, while on Friday ‘TVM will broadcast a special spectacle of song and entertainment with the participation of the 12 finalists.’ According to TVMNews, ‘this session will include moments of nostalgia from the history of local and international music, which undoubtedly dominates the history of the Eurovision Song Contest.’

On the final night, the finalists will perform their songs one last time in the PBS Studios and the winner will be decided by means of jury and televoting. It is not known whether any of the shows will be aired live, nor do we know what is the jury-televote split. In last year’s edition, the jury accounted for 50% of the final score. However, this has not always been the case.

A new slogan “stronger together” for MESC has also been unveiled.
