These are ESCBubble’s qualifiers from the first semi final of Söngvakeppnin 2024
The first semi final of Söngvakeppnin – the Icelandic national selection, is taking place tonight. Five acts will be competing for the two places that lead to the Grand Final, with an additional wildcard given out by the juries after the second semi took place.
Ahead of tonight’s show, our team members listened to the five competing songs, and voted for their favorites. This is how we saw the entries, and how we ranked them:
- Væb – Bíómynd
- Anita – Stingum af
- CeaseTone – Ró
- Sunny – Fiðrildi
- Blankiflúr – Sjá þig
Væb are our team members’ favorites, followed by Anita in second place, but with CeaseTone ending in a very close third place. Sunny and Blankiflúr failed to impress our team members ahead of tonight, but of course, anything can change with the live performances.
