These are ESCBubble’s qualifiers from the second semi final of Söngvakeppnin 2024
The Icelandic national selection – Söngvakeppnin 2024, continues tonight with its second semi final. The remaining five acts will be competing for the two places that lead to the Grand Final, with an additional wildcard given out by the juries after this semi took place.
Ahead of tonight’s show, our team members listened to the five competing songs, and voted for their favorites. This is how we saw the entries, and how we ranked them:
- Sigga Ózk – Um allan alheiminn
- Hera Björk – Við förum hærra
- MAIAA – Fljúga burt
- Heiðrún Anna – Þjakaður af ást
- Bashar Murad – Vestrið villt
Sigga Ózk is the runaway winner of this Semi Final across our team members. The second place with our team goes to the 2010 Icelandic Eurovision entrant hoping for a comeback – Hera Björk, but she is followed very closely by MAIAA in third place. Heiðrún Anna and Bashar Murad failed to impress our team members ahead of tonight, but of course, anything can change with the live performances.
