Donny Ronny will stage the Dutch entry for Eurovision 2024

Dutch broadcaster has revealed that the creative director of their entry for Eurovision 2024 will be Donny Ronny.

Gover Julius Samuel Meit is a Dutch comedian and cabaret artist and a well known TV personality in the Netherlands, he made a recent appearance in “LOL: Last One Laughing. Gover graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in 2009. Until 2013, he was the singer of the band called Wooden Constructions. After that he sang in two more bands Meitje and longsy. In 2014 he started to perform cabaret. From 2015, Meit was editor-in-chief and presenter at the television channel #FIRST, which was broadcast via Ziggo TV and YouTube. He goes by his alter ego Donny Ronny from January last year. Formerly he was known by Stefano Keizers which was the alter ego from 2015 until January 2023. The audience had a chance to see him in the music video of “Europapa” He is the man in red on the scoot mobile. He was revealed as the creative director/ creative supervisor of the Dutch entry in a show Sophie en Jeroen.

Last year The Netherlands finished as 13th in their semi-final scoring just 7 points which is their first non qualification since 2015 and lowest result score since 1994. At the moment Joost Klein is fifth in the odds and he is expected to improve the Dutch result at the upcoming Eurovision. The Netherlands will perform in the second half of the second semi-final which is set to take place on 9th of May. You can try to find Donny Ronny in the “Europapa” music video below
