Ladaniva is a duo founded in 2019, it consists of Armenian, Jaklin Baghdasaryan who is the vocalist and French instrumentalist Louis Thomas. Their Eurovision entry is expected to be released in the upcoming days. Ladaniva mixes traditional music genres with the rhythms of jazz, reggae as well as maloya (music genre of Réunion, which is sung in Réunion Creole, percussion and a musical bow accompany it usually). Ladaniva mixes Armenian traditional music with the different world music influences. The name Ladaniva was inspired by a retro car brand, which reflects on both their spirit and journey through different traditions and cultures. Both Jaklin and Louis realised that each of their fathers owned the same car while living in Armenia and France that’s how they decided to go for the name.

Ladaniva will bring their colourful and contagious energy to Eurovision. Being both a musical and artistic ethnic mix, Armenia’s entry is going to inspire cultural bridges.

Their breakthrough came with their hit song “Vay Aman” in 2020. Last year the duo has released their debut album under the French label PIAS in 2023.

This year we’re thrilled to present a unique and multi-cultural entry that will make everyone dance their hearts out and carry a meaningful message with a fun and light spirit! Jaklin and Louis create songs from everyday life experiences, and soon you will hear the story of a free girl – breaking societal stereotypes.
