Meet Bjarni Lárus Hall – one of the semifinalists in Söngvakeppnin 2015

Bjarni Lárus Hall, better known as Baddi, will perform the song “Brotið gler” (Broken Glass), which he co-wrote with Axel “Flex” Árnason.

Baddi will be accompanied on stage by the rest of his band, Jeff Who?; Valdimar Kristjónsson on keyboard, Ásgeir Valur Flosason on guitar, Hallgrímur Jón Hallgrímsson on drums and Elís Pétursson on bass. Fríða Dís Guðmundsdóttir will be singing backing vocals.

Baddi and “Flex” started working on a number of songs together back in 2009, though they never had the time to quite finish them. They decided to finish at least one song by the end of 2014, and they did. Though they were very happy with the result, they didn’t know what to do with the song. By chance they saw RÚV’s call for songs for Söngvakeppnin. The rest, as they say, is history.
