Ann Sophie, this year’s German Eurovision Song Contest representative who finished last in the final on 23rd May with the shameful “nil points,” expressed her wish to pursue an acting career.

During a shooting break of the ZDF hit television series “Sibel und Max,” the 24-year-old singer said to the German Press Agency (DPA):

I am willing to take on the fight and continue going down this [acting] path and I am very much looking forward to start going to casting calls.

In the second season of the family-oriented television show, the Hamburg-native German 2015 Eurovision star plays a small guest role as a young musician. The appearance in the show, as Ann-Sophie Dürmeyer stated, is of great importance to her, since she studied acting in New York before going after her music career. Nonetheless, she does not want to pack away her love for music. She further added:

I love music and I will definitely continue doing music.
