Like they did last year, Azerbaijan will select their entrant for the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 internally.
All musicians interested are welcome to send in songs to broadcaster ITV until the 10th of February. Those musicians, however, wether they live in Azerbaijan itself or abroad, must have the Azeri citizenship.
Their proposal to ITV should include name and surname of the singer, date of birth, city of residence, an audio file of the song, video recordings of themselves, five photos and a youtube link. This application should be sent to eurovision2016@itv.az .

The final decision, and with that the Azeri entry for Stockholm, will be announced on the 14th of March.

Last year their internal selection, Elnur Hüseynov with Hour of the Wolf, landed Azerbaijan a 12th place in the final:
