Deen and Dalal present Bosnia & Herzegovina’s entry ‘Ljubav Je’

This evening saw the first performance of the Bosnia & Herzegovina entry to Eurovision 2016 by Deen and Dalal – ‘Ljubav Je’.

The song will be Bosnia & Herzegovina’s first entry since 2012, when Maya Sar’s ‘Korake Ti Znam’ finished in 18th place in the grand final.  Maya performed her entry in tonight’s show, as did Nina Badric, who represented Croatia in the same year, but failed to qualify for the final.

The show ‘BH Eurosong’ also saw a performance of the song ‘Kad Ti Cujem Glas’ by Seven Up, Deen’s former band who reunited tonight specifically for this performance; and a performance by Marija Serifovic, of her winning song ‘Molitva’

As well as seeing the return to the contest for Bosnia & Herzegovina, ‘Ljubav Je’ will also be a return for Deen who finished 9th in 2004 with his entry ‘In The Disco’.

‘Deen and Dalal will be joined on the stage in Stockholm by Ana Rucner and Jasmin Fazlic Jala. Ljubav Je’ is written by Almir Ajanovic, and you can listen to the Bosnia & Herzegovina entry here:

During the show, Deen and Dalal were interviewed about their participation, which was confirmed as an internal selection back in November.  Deen shared his recollection of Eurovision 2004 where, as a 20yr old, he managed to achieve a good placing which remains as one of the four best results for Bosnia in the contest.

Dalal has enjoyed the attention from media about the song and the ongoing speculation since the announcement in November about what it might be like.  Particularly whether it would be like ‘In The Disco’, or a ballad more in keeping with Dalal’s usual style.  They have been friends since they met in 1996, and it is that friendship which has brought about this collaboration.

What do you think of the song?, will Dalal help Deen to make it into the top 10 once again?
