Croatia reveals their Junior Eurovision entry – “Game Over”

The Croatian national broadcaster HRT held a press conference this morning, where Josephine Ida Zec was introduced as the Croatian entrant for this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Her song for Malta – Game Over –  has also been revealed.

Josephine Ida Zec, better known as Josie, was chosen to be the Croatian representative at the Junior Eurovision by a panel of HRT’s judges (Maja Tokic, Editor in Chief for HRT2; Zeljko Mesar, Head of the Music Department; Zeljen Klasterka, Editor of Music Contents; Silva Skender, Editor of Kids Programming; Aleksandar Kostadinov, Head of Delagation) two weeks ago. Josie is an American-born who grew up in Croatia, thus speaking both English and Croatian on a native level. Josie’s song Game Over is a pop song which will be sung to 75% in Croatian and 25% in English. The youngster composed and wrote the song herself.

This marks Croatia’s return to the Junior Eurovision after a seven year pause. The country’s best result in Junior Eurovision was also a victory back in 2003, when Dino Jelusic sang Ti si moja prva ljubav. Croatia’s participation in Malta will be their fifth, and first since 2006.
