Who will represent Israel? The four songs revealed!

Today, the four songs competing in the final of HaKokhav HaBa L’Eirovizion (The Next Star for Eurovision), this year’s method of selecting the Israeli entry, were revealed on Israeli radio.

The four songs are:

Ella Daniel – Somebody Out There (David Maman, Phillip Hayon)
Gil Hadash – Follow the Sun (Stav Beger, Tom Gefen)
Hovi Star – Made of Stars (Doron Madalie)
Nofar Salman – Made of Stars (Doron Madalie)

The four finalists will perform their songs in a live show on Thursday 3 March, where one song will be crowned the winner and will represent Israel in Eurovision in Stockholm in May.

Languages. Flags. Numbers. Three of my favourite things. So it’s really no surprise that I am a fan of the Eurovision Song Contest! I’ve been obsessed since 1989 when I turned on the TV to see this strange show with people from different countries singing in different languages wearing sparkly outfits and then voting on each other’s songs! I was instantly hooked! I’ve now been to ten Eurovision and looking forward to number eleven in Israel. My favourite Eurovision song of all time is ‘Quand je te rêve’ by Céline Carzo (Luxembourg 1990). I’m pretty sure no one else can say the same thing!
