Serbia release an English version of their Eurovision entry titled ‘New Children’

Serbia’s act for Eurovision 2018, Sanja Ilic and Balkanika, have today released an English version of their entry titled ‘New Children’.

’Nova Deca’ translates literally to ‘New Kids’ in English and the new version was performed at a ceremony held by the Serbia broadcaster RTS on the acts departure to Lisbon for the Eurovision Song Contest.

The Serbian version’s lyrics carries a strong message that the next generation has the power to change the world.  The English version also has the same theme with some amended lyrics to keep the same theme.

The writer of the English lyrics is Luke Black, who is a producer, songwriter and performer himself.  Luke attempted to enter Eurovision for Serbia back in 2016.
