Tonight, the first live show of X Factor Malta took place. This year. TVM decided to change things up and select their entrant for this year’s Eurovision. After a marathon show where 12 acts performed, girl duo Kayati were revealed as the act who received the fewest votes and left the competition immediately.

Girl Group X-Treme and Franklin Calleja were the acts who received the next-fewest votes and battled it out for survival in the sing-off where ultimately, the judges decided to send Franklin home.
