One of the eight finalists of A Dal 2019 may be disqualified due to plagiarism!

The second semi final of A Dal 2019 has finished about an hour ago, and we got the remaining four finalists – Joci Pápai, Gergő Szekér, Bogi Nagy, and Fatal Error. The news broke at the end of the show that one of the eight finalists might be disqualified from the show, due to plagiarism claims!

At the end of tonight’s show, one of the hosts of the show – Freddie (who represented Hungary in Eurovision 2016) read out a statement saying that there are plagiarism claims for one of the eight finalists. MTVA formed a team who will investigate these claims, and should they be valid, the entry is going to be disqualified from the Final.

It was not announced which entry is in question, neither from which of the two semi finals it came. Should the claims be found to be true, the entry is going to be disqualified from the final, and the eight qualifier is going to be the next best positioned song from that particular semi final – in this case either Konyha with the song “Százszor visszajátszott”, or Gergő Oláh with “Hozzád bújnék”.
