Various Eurovision portals have announced yesterday and today that HRT confirmed to them that Croatia is going to be taking part in Eurovision 2020. In a statement made to the Croatian Eurovision portal eurosong.hr, Maja Njirjak in front of HRT denied this.

According to Maja Njirjak from HRT, Croatia’s national broadcaster is still deciding about the budget allocation for next year, thus no decision has been made yet regarding Croatia’s participation in Eurovision 2020, which will be held in the Netherlands. She also added that she hopes everything will “be in order”, and that there won’t be any issues regarding their participation in Rotterdam.

Last year HRT organized Dora, where 16 songs competed to represent Croatia in Tel Aviv. Roko was the winner with the song “The Dream”, and unfortunately he failed to qualify for the Grand Final.
