Michał Szpak releases a song “Poland is a Woman”!

Polish representative at Eurovision 2016 and the judge of The Voice of Poland, Michał Szpak is one of the people behind “Polska To Kobieta” which is the original name of the song that translates to “Poland is a Woman”. The song describes the current situation and shows support to Polish women in the fight for their freedom.

The idea behind the song is to support the women’s strike in Poland which has started on 22nd of October after the constitutional tribunal ruled that abortion on embryo-pathological grounds was inconsistent with the Polish constitution, this decision made Polish citizens furious and took them to the streets. The protests are going on for several days, and the protesters have been supported by stars, celebrities, actors and singers. Michał Szpak was supporter of the protest since the beginning of it and he joined forces with Paweł Swiernalis to create a song “Polska To Kobieta” (Poland is a woman) whose music video features recordings from protests all over Poland.

Michał Szpak shared the song on his facebook account together with a statement: “No unnecessary words! POLAND IS A WOMAN! Thank you SWIERNALIS for inviting me to this important PROTEST SONG u are fire! Listen and share it further.”
