Valentina Wins Junior Eurovision 2020 for France

The 19th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song contest concluded just a few moments ago, and the winner was France’s Valentina with her song ‘J’Imagine’

This year’s show was unique with the performances being recorded by the broadcasters, and those in Warsaw for the contest itself observing measures to maintain safety during the pandemic. But despite fewer nations competing this year, the show was still a triumph against all the adversity and uncertainty in the build up.

A total of 12 countries participated and the winner was chosen by a combination of national juries and a two-part online vote (one pre-show, based on clips and one during the show)

After the national juries voted, France took an early lead from Kazakhstan with Belarus in third place.

After the online votes were included, Valentina extended the margin, with the final score as shown below:
