Sam Ryder enters the UK Chart at Number 2

Sam Ryder has entered the Official UK charts Today at number 2, narrowly missing out to Harry Styles

This is the highest a UK Eurovision song has placed in the charts since Gina G’s ‘Oooh Ahh Just a little bit’ in 1996.

Aswell as entering the UK charts, ‘Spaceman’ has also entered the Irish charts at Number 22, The Lithuanian charts at Number 13 and The Swedish Charts at Number 15.

The placing follows the news that we reported earlier in the week that Sam will be performing at the Queen’s Jubilee Concert on 4th June.

Sam has spoken about how his placing has helped to strip away the UK’s negative perception of the Eurovision Song Contest.
