Marketing Liverpool hints at Cruise ships and a campsite
Chris Brown, director of Marketing Liverpool, has told the BBC that the city will release more accommodation options soon.
These options could include a campsite and even some cruise ships.
Speaking to BBC News, Chris spoke about plans for next year’s accommodation, saying:
“We have a plan that was part of the whole bidding process to ensure that we open up a range of accommodation options for people wanting to come to Liverpool for Eurovision that will embrace the wider city region and Manchester and Cheshire aswell, thereby giving people alot of accessible options, not just those in the City centre.”
Addressing the fact that many hotel rooms in Liverpool are now being listed for thousands of pounds, Chris added:
“We will certainly be addressing those who we feel are put together, or are behaving in a way that we would not say is in the spirit of the ethos of why Liverpool went for Eurovision.”
When asked about the other accommodation options to be announced, Chris said:
“That could involve cruise ships or opportunities around a campsite, but we do have a pretty robust plan.”
